Al Rashidiya (Graduation 2.0)

Man... I'm in the bed with the flu. In 3 days, it'll be a year since I graduated college. Am I even close to where I want to be in life? Nope. Not at all. But I'm not that far away either... cause I'm uncomfortable and I've heard that growth happens when you're out of your comfort zone.

I've been at home for the past week lying in bed, staring at a bunch of snotty tissues and drowning in the scent of garlic, but this week has taught me so much patience. When asked to do this #BlackandWhite photo challenge, this picture I took while traveling happened to pop up and all I could think about was my time in Dubai in a world I knew nothing about. I stared at the photo for a second and I could imagine the trains flying by. I'm on the train now and I hear, "المحطة التالية هي Al Rigga" (The next station is Al Rigga). I didn't know where I was going that day, but I had a goal to explore as much as I could before hopping back on the train towards Rashidiya.

Going, going, going. "You're always on the go Nylah." I was, but now I feel stuck. I'm in a very uncomfortable place in life right now. For a while, my mind would race and I'd constantly wonder "what's next?" I'm learning to be okay with waiting though. I can taste the growth.
